WEB Louis Kevin Celestin, better known by his stage name KAYTRANADA, is a Haitian-Canadian music producer who has made a name for himself with his unique blend of J Dilla-inspired beats and woozy house grooves.
Celestin was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on August 25, 1992, but moved to Montreal, Canada, at a young age. He began producing music at the age of 14, and quickly gained attention for his innovative and eclectic style.
KAYTRANADA's music has been described as "an omnivorous set of influences," drawing from hip-hop, house, and even electronic music. His breakthrough came in 2010 with a Boiler Room DJ set that showcased his unique sound.
Since then, KAYTRANADA has released a number of successful albums and singles, and has won several awards, including two Grammy Awards. He is known for his collaborations with artists such as Lorde, Kali Uchis, and Anderson .Paak.
