Nbc Unveils Sunday Night Football Broadcast Team For 2023 Season

NBC unveils *Sunday Night Football* broadcast team for 2023 season

Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michele Tafoya return for their ninth season together

Jac Collinsworth to make his debut as sideline reporter

August 17, 2023 The 2022 football season came to a close for the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans earlier this year. For the Bears, an 8-9 season had fans excited for the future as quarterback Justin Fields, at one point, was playing like an MVP candidate. Unfortunately, injuries and an offensive line unable to protect him derailed a hopeful season. The Texans, who traded away most of their top playmakers this past season, finished 3-13-1 with the worst record in the NFL. Like the Bears, the Texans are rebuilding, but have a long way to go to reach respectability again. NBC will once again televise the NFL’s premier primetime game, Sunday Night Football, for the 2023 season. The network has announced the following broadcast team for the upcoming season: * **Al Michaels** (play-by-play) * **Cris Collinsworth** (analyst) * **Michele Tafoya** (sideline reporter) * **Jac Collinsworth** (sideline reporter) Michaels, 78, is entering his 37th season as the voice of NBC’s NFL coverage. Collinsworth, 64, is entering his 27th season as an NFL analyst for NBC. Tafoya, 57, is entering her ninth season as a sideline reporter for NBC’s NFL coverage. Jac Collinsworth, 36, will join the Sunday Night Football broadcast team as a sideline reporter, replacing Kathryn Tappen, who will no longer be with the show. Collinsworth is the son of Cris Collinsworth. He has worked as a sideline reporter for NBC’s coverage of Notre Dame Football since 2018. The 2023 NFL season will begin on Thursday, September 7, with the Buffalo Bills hosting the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. Sunday Night Football will debut on September 10. The full schedule will be released later this month.
